Trio from family win medals at Dubai Powerlifting Championship

Mangaluru: A father, son and daughter trio from Mangaluru, who participated at the Asian Bench-Press Power-Lifting championship held in Dubai between September 18 and 24, have won medals in different categories.

Venizeia Annie Carlo (18) secured the gold medal in the 63kg sub-junior unequipped bench-press category and the silver medal in the 63kg sub-junior unequipped bench-press category.

Vance Fallon Carlo (15) secured the gold medal in the 66kg sub-junior category.

Their father, Vincent Prakash Carlo (47), who is an international body builder and powerlifter, came fourth in the 83kg open category.

They are all being trained by Sathish Kumar Kudroli.
