Mangaluru: A truck engaged in construction work of a temporary retaining wall to prevent sea erosion at Ullal Kaiko region toppled near the seashore on Friday, June 16.
The said truck was dumping stones at the seashore region for the construction purpose when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to topple. The driver however managed to have a lucky escape with few minor injuries.
It may be recalled that a house belonging to a woman collapsed due to sea erosion here recently. Following the incident the authorities had speed up the task of dumping the stones in the sea to prevent further erosion.
