In a significant development, the Bajpe police have apprehended two individuals in connection with the theft of valuables worth Rs 1.4 lakh from the residence of K Yuvaraj Acharya in Badaga Edapadavu Tiplebettu.
The arrested individuals are Ravi Shetty (55), a resident of Urkibettu Jwaara Mane in Badaga Edapadavu, and Shivaprasad Shetty (29), residing in Kallasanka, Todar village, Moodbidri.
The theft, which occurred on April 3, involved the burglary of cables, a fan, as well as damage to the door and window of the house, following the breaking of the lock. The police have successfully recovered all the stolen valuables.
The police team, under the leadership of Inspector Nandishwar B. Kumbara from Bajpe police station, includes PSI Gurappa Kanti, Revana Siddappa, Ravi N N, Shobha R., ASI Rama Poojary, and head-constables Sujan, Purushottama, Rasheed, Devappa Hosamani, Basavaraj Patil, and Prakash Chidananda.
