Mangaluru: After Kanhaiya hogged the limelight for anti-national sloganeering, two college students, landed in soup after posting Pro-Pakistan slogan during the recently held India-Pakistan cricket match.

Though they were taken into preventive custody on Wednesday, they were later released upon executing a ‘good conduct’ bond in Puttur Town.

It is said that on whatsapp group, one of the students had posted ‘Pakistan Ki Jai’, which was objected to by his college mate. The group stood divided over the statement- while some objected, some supported the statement.

When the happenings came to the notice of the police, they initiated action.

However, the police said that prima facie they were mere statements, without any intention of sedition.

The two were produced before the Executive Magistrate and were asked to execute a bond of good conduct. They were released upon executing the bond, police said.
