Two men stab astrologer in broad daylight, flee from spot

Bantwal: Two unidentified men stabbed an astrologer due to personal reasons and fled from the spot, on Saturday March 20.

The incident took place at Durgaparameshwari Jyothishalaya, Padma complex, B C Road in the afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Pandit Laxmikanth Bhat. He had lost consciousness after the attack and later when the people in the adjacent room saw him coming out injured, they took him to the government hospital. He was later shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.

Bantwal town police inspector Cheluvaraj visited the spot and conducted spot inspection.
