Two more die in DK district; COVID fatality reaches 12

Mangaluru: With two more persons succumbing to Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday night, the total number of deaths in district has reached 12 now.

A 31-year-old youth from Idya in Surathkal and a 57-year-old elderly woman from Bantwal Taluk are the two persons who succumbed to the disease yesterday.

The youth from Idya in Surathkal had low blood pressure and other health complications. He was admitted to Covid Wenlock hospital on June 26. His health condition had turned serious on Saturday night and he passed away.

The woman from Surathkal also had some health complications when she was tested positive for Covid-19.
