Mangaluru: Rajnikanth starrer ‘Kabali’ is not the only film which has become victim to leak of scene prior to release. Here in Coastalwood, Devdas Kapikad, Naveen Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor starrer ‘Dabak Daba Aisa’ has been pushed into the same wagon by a section, which does not want the film to do well.
The Tulu film is due to release in two weeks’ time and already some parts of the film have been leaked.
The makers of the film have brought the issue to the notice of Bengaluru Chalana Chithra Mandali, Urva police, Karkala Town police and Mangaluru Cyber Crime Cell.
Understanding the seriousness of the issue the Mangaluru Police Commissioner has given strict instructions to the cops to trace the culprits at the earliest.
During the ensuing raids if the cops find things substantiating the claims of the film makers then the accused will face eight years of jail. This being a non-bailable offence, the accused may also have to bear the entire cost of the film.
Responding to the issue, actor, director Devdad Kapikad said that it was a shameful incident. Sensing that efforts are being made to scuttle Tulu cinema, he called upon the Tulu film lovers to teach an apt lessons to the ones trying to pull down Tulu cinema industry.
