Mangaluru: The inauguration of 50-bedded Ayush Multi-speciality Hospital by the Central and State Ayush Mission was held here on Saturday September 25.
The hospital facility was planned and sanctioned in 2016 and was successfully accomplished in 2020. Due to Covid-19, the opening ceremony got delayed.
Chief guest of the event was Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ayush-Government of India. He inaugurated the hospital and the OPD facility was made available to people.
For the Successful functioning of Ayush OPD (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy) and Allopathy and in future there would be advanced and special treatment facilities.
The treatment modalities in Ayurveda, Panchakarma, Jalouka (leach therapy) , Ksharasutra, and Abhyanga are available.
In Naturopathy, Hydrotherapy, Accupuncture, Accupreasure, Colour Therapy, Magnetic Therapy, Physiotherapy, in Unani, Dhalak, Hijama etc. will be made available.
The Hospital is built with around Rs. 9 crore budget. In the ground floor the OPD, Pharmacy, Laboratary, and the treatment sections are established. In the first floor there is an administration section. Second floor has 20-bedded general ward and 5 special wards with panchakarma female section.
The third floor has 5 specials wards, 20-bedded general ward and modular operation theatre. There is also diet kitchen and nutrition clinic available in the building.
On behalf of Dakshina Kannada Department “Srishti” Yojane for no child bearing couple, Samrudhi” to eradicate Malnutrition, ‘ and ‘Manasa Mithra” for Child Mental Health Development are also available.
