Belthangady: In the backdrop of the Karnataka Assembly polls scheduled for May 12, sources close to the BJP said that Union Minister of Home Affiars Rajnath Singh is expected to visit Belthangady and Karkala on April 23.
A public address has been organised on April 23 as BJP candidate Harish Poonja is filing his nomination papers on the same day. Rajnath Singh is expected to visit Belthangady and Karkala and address the party workers and electorate. Sources said that the work of identifying suitable spot for a helipad and inspections were underway.
However, the news could not be confirmed as BJP has remained tight-lipped about the information.
