Dharmastala: Close on the heels of Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali at Shrikshetra Dharmasthala between February 9 and 18, Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister U T Khader convened a meeting of officials at Dharmastala on Tuesday, January 29 and asked them to be well prepared for the nine days programme.
Khader said the officials should ensure that people would not face any problem during the programme. There should be uninterrupted power supply during the progamme and street lamps should be in working condition. The Beltangady Taluk Panchayat should arrange for drinking water facility during the programme.
He asked the officials of KSRTC to provide 50 additional buses from different locations to Dharmastala. In order to prevent any untoward incident, 300 Home Guards and an adequate number of police personnel should be deployed at the temple premises, he said. CCTV cameras should also be installed at the key points and proper arrangements should be made to park the vehicles as a huge crowd is expected to attend the programme, he said.
The officials of Mescom informed that six transformers will be installed at the temple premises in order to provide uninterrupted power supply.
Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police B M Lakshmi Prasad, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sasikanth Senthil among others were present.
