UTK inaugurates quarters for `A` grade officers of DK ZP

Mangaluru: Minister for Urban Development and Housing and Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister U T Khader inaugurated the government quarters meant for `A` grade officers of Dakshina Kannada district Zilla Panchayath at Urwa Store and stated that it was a model building to the entire state.

After inaugurating the building Khader said, “The building is spacious and it is a model residential building in the entire state. There is a plan to construct a residential building for other officers too. Providing suitable facilities to the officials helps to get good work from them”, he said.

This residential building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.83 Crore, in which there are six apartments comprising all facilities like car parking, security room, panel room, lift, 62.5 KVA generator among others. Each floor has two apartments with proper water connection. This residential building is meant for Deputy Secretary, Chief Planning Officer, Planning Director, Chief Accountant and for executive engineers of Zilla Panchayat.

Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Selvamani R, Zilla Panchayat President Meenakshi Shanthigodu and Vice President Kasthuri Panja among others were present.
