Mangaluru: State Minister for Urban Development and Housing and Daksina Kannada District In-charge Minister U T Khader promised of all possible help from the government to complete the pending works in Tulu Bhavan, on Wednesday, September 26.
After paying a visit to Tulu Bhavan at Urwa Store, he inspected the pending work and spoke to Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president, members and other officials. As he found the necessity of Rs 3.6 Crore for the completion of these pending works, he assured of releasing the amount at the earliest.
Khader also positively responded to the demand of implementing Tulu syllabus in pre-university education when the academy members submitted a memorandum in this regard. He promised that he would soon consult the chief minister and education minister in this regard.
Tulu Sahitya Academy President A C Bhandary, Registrar Chandrahas Rai B, members Tharanath Gatti, Benet Ammanna, Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department Rajesh among others were present.
