Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister and Minister for Housing and Urban Development U T Khader will inaugurate the renovated the Mallikatta Circle in Kadri on December 22. Mallikatta Circle was renovated by the Bhandary builders. Addressing the mediapersons at Patrika Bhavan on Thursday, December 20, Bhandary Builders Proprietor Lakshmish Bhandary said that the project was a contribution to the Smart City by Bhandary Builders and had been carried out under the CSR?funds of Rs 21 Lakh. The circle was beautified to include an artwork designed by artist Rajendra Kedige. The metal work was done by Muhammed Imran and Gokul Raj.
“The artworks done at the circle indicates the the culture of Tulunadu and comprises of details on Panjurli Paddana, Yakshagana, Dravidian origin of Tulu language, poets Ratnakaravarni and Kumaravyasa. The circle is decorated with stone pillars, lighting, lawns and flower bearing plants”, Lakshmish Bhandary added.
Corporator Ashok D K, artist Rajendra Kedige and Bhandary Builders Adviser Venu Sharma were present.
