Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel announced that the much-awaited Vande Bharat Express service between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is anticipated to commence in June. He made these remarks during the launch of the extended Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru Central and Tiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
Kateel mentioned the increasing demand for the Vande Bharat train on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru route and noted a positive response from the Union Government. He informed that electrification work is currently underway, with completion expected by the end of May, particularly in the 22 km Shiradi stretch. Kateel expressed optimism that if everything proceeds as planned, the train services may begin in June.
