Mangaluru: Election, in true sense is a festival and this bus driver enthusiastically running to the polling booth to cast vote shows the fervour surrounding this celebration.
Vijay Shetty, a resident of Belvai is a sensation now. A video of Shetty stopping his bus outside a polling booth in his village and darting towards the polling centre to cast vote has gone viral.
According to the sources, Vijay Shetty has been working in a private bus plying between Mangaluru and Shivamogga. It was inevitable for him to report to duty on the election day.
However, he did not miss the opportunity of casting vote.
As his bus goes via Belvai polling booth, he decided to stop the bus near the polling booth for a while and without wasting much time, Shetty returns with an inked index finger.
Shetty, reportedly had never remained away from voting so far and his spirit and respect towards his responsibility and duty has been widely appreciated.
