Moodabidri: Tenkamijaru village panchayath members in collaboration with Thodar Lions club organized a get-together to involve the physically challenged people in the main stream by informing about the facilities available through various government schemes.
Program titled ‘Day’s get-together with the physically challenged’ opened an avenue for all the deprived people to avail facilities through a single window scheme through Panchayath – 100 Bapuji service centre’ was inaugurated on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister K Abhayachandra Jain felt that such schemes help the deprived, rekindling their hopes, which would give an opportunity for all of them to join the main stream.
On the occasion, Babu Parava, a physically challenged person well known in the field of making face masks was honored by headmistress Anitha of Mohini Appaji Naik memorial special school. Resource persons Nitesh Ballal from Jain high school and journalist Kirana Manjanabailu informed the deserving people about the facilities available through various government schemes.
ZP member, KP Sucharitha Sheety, Village Panchyath Development Officer, Saisha Chowta and many others were present on the occasion.
