Vote out BJP, Cong to enjoy peace in district: HDK

Mangaluru: Former Chief Minister, JD(S) leader HD Kumarswamy on Tuesday said that peace could be restored in the coastal district of Karnataka by getting rid of parties -Congress and BJP – who work for their own political gains rather than focus on the development of the region.

He alleged that BJP and Congress are creating unrest by creating gap between the communities in the district for their own political gains

Taking a dig at BJP’s Jana Suraksha Yatra and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s participation in the programme, Kumarswamy said that the state BJP lacks strong leadership since most of their leaders have turned Bogis (people who enjoy worldly pleasures) and hence has invited Adityanath to address the rally.

“What message would Yogi Adityanath give to people, while there has been a spate of child deaths at government hospitals in his state,” questioned Kumaraswamy

Further he said that in Gujarat Dalit activist Bhanu Vankar set himself on fire outside Patna deputy Commissioner’s office. Who will protect these people?.

“People of the coastal Karnataka should get rid of such anti-social elements, political parties who are playing with the life of people. People of district should know that mere speeches will not address thier problem” he added.

Taking dig at CM Siddaramiah, Kumaraswamy said, “JD(S) never came to you(Siddramaiah) urging for coallation with us. But you came to us, during the BBMP Mayor elections, and even during Nanjangudu Gundlupette by-elections it was Siddaramiah who approached us seeking support to defeat BJP”.

JD(S) has power to face the elections. Siddaramiah should not use cheap words against the JD(S). The Congress has been literally wiped out of the country and the same fate awaits them in Karanataka too, he said.
