Mangaluru: “The whole country wants now to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India again, considering his great thoughts for the country and his revolutionary works,” said BJP MP candidate for Mangaluru, Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday, March 30.
Addressing the ‘page pramukh’ party workers’ meet at Guruvayanakere in the Belthangady taluk, Nalin said, “Even the former Union minister and senior Congress leader, B Janardhana Poojary had opined that Narendra Modi should be re-elected as the Prime Minister of the country for corruption to be rooted out. The same opinion is in the minds of senior political leaders, leaders of the opposition parties and the people in every nook and corner,” he said.
Nalin then asked the people to imagine what it would have been like if Narendra Modi was not elected as the Prime Minister of the country. “Would it have been possible to take back our Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot, wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman from Pakistan? Would it have been possible for our country to launch a surgical strike against Pakistan in retaliation to the Pulwama attack?” he asked.
He also shed light on the various welfare schemes introduced by the Modi-led Union Government like ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwal Yojana’, ‘Ayushman Bharat’, ‘Swaccha Bharat’ among others. “The people are aware about the developmental works of Modi’s government and they will support the BJP again in order to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of the country again,” he concluded.
MLAs Rajesh Naik Ulipadyguttu, Hareesh Poonja, V Sunil Kumar, Sanjeeva Matandoor, among others were present.
