Wife, lover in judicial custody for Mohammed Sameer’s murder, say reports

Mangaluru: The wife of murdered Mohammed Sameer of Ganjimutt, Firdous and her alleged paramour have reportedly been arrested at the Hosur bus stand remanded to 15 days of judicial custody in connection with the murder.

The news was reportedly confirmed by Devathanapatti police inspector Sukumar, who said that before the two were sent to judicial custody, they were taken to a discreet location for questioning where they reportedly confessed to the murder. They revealed that after murdering Sameer (35) on September 15 they dumped his body in Tamil Nadu’s poplar hill-station, Kodaikanal.

Sameer is said to have gone missing on September 13. His father, Ahmed had filed a missing person complaint with the police after his son went left for Bengaluru with his wife and daughter and did not return. On September 15, Sameer is said to have contacted his mother to inform her that he was in Bengaluru, after which they lost contact with him.

A few days later, on September 18, Firdous returned with her daughter to their house in Kaup and when asked about Sameer’s whereabouts, she claimed that he had left them at the house as he was in contact with another woman.
