Youth Congress helps Harish’s kin; assures job for his sister

Bantwal: District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai handed over Rs 50,000 to the kin of the deceased Harish Poojary from Navoor village who died after being stabbed by miscreants on last Thursday, in Manihalla.
Mithun Rai assured all possible help from District Youth Congress and said, “It is not acceptable that an innocent person like Harish has lost his life in the hands of miscreants. We have come to know about the family which is in need of help. We will consider Harish’s sister for a good job and his father who is suffering from cancer will be getting treatment at Wenlock hospital”.

“Whoever is responsible for the incident and whichever outfit, we have asked police to arrest at the earliest”, he added.

Bantwal Youth Congress president Prashanth Kulal, other leaders like Ajith Nooji, Siddiq Guddeyangady, Girish Alva, Navoor gram panchayth president Gulabi Chandappa Naik, former president Baby Suvarna and member Suvarna Kumar were present.

Last Thursday, Harish and Samiulla had been to play cricket. On their way back, they stopped at a shop near the Old Gate to have tender coconut. A group of assailants arrived at the spot and stabbed Harish. Meanwhile, his friend Samiulla sustained injuries while he tried to save his friend.
