Mangaluru: A 26-year-old person succumbed owing to COVID19 in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday, June 14.
With this, the total number of death, pertaining to COVID19 reached 8 in the district till now. According to the sources, the deceased youth had come from Mumbai. Prior to the results of his throat swab, he had completed the quarantine period and was sent home.
As he was also suffering from kidney problems, he was admitted to a private hospital in the city. He succumbed as he did not respond to the treatment on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, his throat swabs tested positive for COVID19.
While seven others who succumbed for the disease are all elderly people in DK district, this is the first case a youth is passing away due to this disease.
