Mangaluru: In a rather rare sight, a government official was seen at Lady Goschen Hospital on Sunday morning to get her child administered with polio drops, as the Pulse Police Drive kick started in the district.
Zilla Panchayat CEO Srividya became the cynosure of all eyes as she walked up Dakshina Kannada District In-Charge Minister B Ramanath Rai to administer polio drops to her child.

Addressing the gathering, he said that though the World Health Organization has declared India as a polio free country on March 27, 2014, the chances of relapse cannot be ruled out. In this regard, it is necessary to administer polio drops to all children below the age of five every year.
