College student faces moral policing amid girl dispute

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a Muslim student from Aloysius College in Mangaluru was reportedly assaulted by fellow Muslim students from a private college near Balmatha. This incident occurred in a flat situated on the outskirts of Mangaluru, near Adyar. It is reported that the assault took place in connection with a dispute related to a girl.

The youth was attacked by Anan and Tabish, who were under the influence of weed, and their team, locked the student in a private flat and beat him up. The victim has been identified as Ibrahim Fahim (18), a native of Uppala in Kasargod district of Kerala. Fahim is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kasargod. The attack was allegedly led by the son of SDPI leader Anwar Sadat. The Thane police have reportedly arrested one person in connection with the incident.
