Udupi: Amid tight police security underworld fugitive Bannanje Raja alias Rajendra Prasad was brought to the city after the court permitted him to meet his mother who is suffering from health issues.
Police brought Bannanje Raja here on Sunday evening and was made to halt in Udupi police station on Sunday night. Today Raja will be allowed to meet his mother in Kalmadi, Malpe.
Security too was beefed up in Udupi in wake of his visit to the city from Hindalga jail.
The court had permitted Bannanje Raja to meet his mother on Monday, July 9 between 6 am to 6 pm. Though Raja had urged the court to provide him parole, the court had denied the same.
The court has asked Raja to bear the transport and security expenses during his visit to the city
