Udupi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Padubidre beach in Udupi to assess the sea erosion issue and stated that an action plan would be formulated to address this problem effectively. The required funds for the plan will be discussed with officials and allocated accordingly. He acknowledged the progress made in coastal areas but emphasized the need for additional projects and pending works to be addressed.
Furthermore, CM Siddaramaiah pledged immediate instructions to the finance department for the release of salaries for the staff of Udupi Women and Children’s Hospital. The presence of Women and Child Development Minister and District In-charge Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Ports and Fisheries Minister Mankalu Vaidya, Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, and Deputy Commissioner Dr. K. Vidyakumari added significance to the occasion. The government’s commitment to resolving sea erosion and addressing essential developmental needs in the region was evident during the visit.
