Udupi: The Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandez while speaking to the media person on Tuesday said that strict action would be taken against the people who involve in lottery scams. Government is waiting to get CID report, he stated.
Taking on the Modi-led BJP government he said that ‘he cannot evaluate the government but surely public will’, on which Former MP Jayaprakash Hegde said that, no one needs to evaluate the Modi government instead his own BJP member Arvind Subramanian recently quoted that the government’s achievement is least even after a year.
Demanding the amendment of the Land Acquisition Bill, he added that the new changes in the Bill is not public oriented.
He also put forward a proposal stating that farmers who are scheduled to lose their land under the Bill must be given four times the compensation, as they will be losing their respective lands and their occupation forever.
