Udupi: Dalit Damanitara Swabhimani Horata Samithi (DDSHS) members paid tribute to Dr B R. Ambedkar to mark the day of demolition of Babri Masjid on Tuesday, December 6 at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan, Auditorium, Udupi.

Speaking on the occasion, G. Rajashekar President of Udupi Komu Sauharda Vedike said that on 6th December 1992, Babri Masjid was demolished with pre planning. “It was well organised. Till now, no one has been arrested or punished. The constitution of the country lost its function and entire legal system of the country was uprooted, “ he said.

“After Babri Masjid demolition, anti national activists attacked Mumbai twice. The Sikh community had vandalized Delhi in 1984 after the demise of Indira Gandhi. Altogether the judicial system of the country declined,” he added.

“When a secular party was at the Centre under the leadership of late Narasimha Rao, Babri Masjid was demolished. The minority community was totally ignored in 1992. Till now no one has been punished. The demolition of Babri Masjid was very much planned and well organized by the non-Muslims,” said Rajashekar.

Rajashekar said that the Indian Republic Constitution is equal to everyone. The so called secular party in power protected only Hindus and the minor community was totally ignored, he said.

Therefore, 6th December is being observed as the day of remembrance of challenges faced by the constitution of Republic of India.

Sundar Master of DSS presided over the programme. Hussain Kodibengre, Shyamraj Birthi, Dinakar Bengre and others were present.
