Fishing boat capsizes due to rough tidal waves in Udupi, two fishermen missing

Udupi: On Friday September 17, two fishermen went missing after a traditional fishing boat capsized while returning from fishing to Alvekodi. It was reported at Tarapathi in Paduvari village of Byndoor taluk.

The incident is said to have taken place due to rough tidal waves in the sea. The missing persons have been identified to have belonged to the boat ‘Jai Guruji’ owned by Charana Karvi.

The other fishermen in the boat reached the shore with the help of another boat.

Byndoor police visited the spot and according to reports, fishermen and swimming experts were looking for the missing fishermen till late night.
