Udupi: BJP MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat said that he has been receiving threat calls after the Hijab issue snowballing into a major controversy.
He was speaking to mediapersons on Friday February 11. He said that most of the calls received were from foreign shores and internet calls. The callers have threatened him not pursue the issue further, and also they were threats to his life.
The MLA is also the President of the Development Committee of the Pre-University College for Women in Udupi where Hijab row began.
