Udupi: The violence and moral policing which is being carried out in the name of religion, must be controlled. If not, there is a danger to Hinduism, said Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Matt.
Speaking at the Dharma Sansad here, he said, “In the name of religion, we should not hurt others. This is not right. This is a threat to Hinduism”.
He also added that Gaurakshan and moral policing should not be given the colour of religion. This should be controlled. Hindus should introspect in this regard, he opined.
