Udupi: In a tragic incident, a woman died after falling from moving bus at Haikady near Halady on Saturday, March 4.
The deceased from Haikady has been identified as Saroja Rohini, wife of Nagaraj Damle.
Saroja had to take her son Mohit to a doctor for treatment. Both mother and son got into a bus in Halady. It is learnt that Saroja was standing near the front door of the bus and her son Mohit who was sick was seated. As the bus moved over a huge pothole, she lost balance and was thrown out of the footboard. She sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
Shankarnarayana Police have registered a case.
