Udupi: Timely presence of mind displayed by a conductor of the Shivamogga-Mangaluru bus helped avert a major tragedy on Tuesday, June 26.
As per the reports the driver of the bus, Afsar had developed giddiness while plying on the Mandagadde Gajanur Tunga River backwaters road on Tuesday afternoon and lost control of the bus. Nearly 25 passengers on board the bus were scared for their lives as it turned off the road and was headed towards the nearby river. Few of the passengers even tried jumping from the moving bus in a bid to save their lives.
However a quick-thinking Bhagwan(conductor), a Thirthahalli native steered the vehicle onto the road thus saving the passengers lives.
The relieved passengers were later sent to their destination through other buses. The commuters were all praises for Bhagwaan, who was no less than a God for them.
