Udupi: The district administration of both Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have declared holiday tomorrow i.e, on Friday, August 9.
In the notification issued by both the district administrations, it is mentioned that the ‘Red Alert’ has being issued till August 9.
The notification has also cautioned people to stay away from visiting beaches and river fronts. The parents have been asked to be alert to ensure their children do not go to low lying and inundated places.
All officers of district and town have been asked to to stay alert. Toll free number 1077 will be functional 24X7.
Meanwhile, the fishermen are also cautioned not to go fishing in the sea for the next three days.
