Traffic diversion in place in Udupi city for Paryaya Utsav: DC

Udupi: In view of the historic Paryaya Utsav slated to be held from January 17 to 18 in Udupi, traffic diversions have been brought in place.

A release from Deputy Commissioner Dr R Vishal said that the changes will be in force in the city from 9:00 am on January 17 to 9:00 am on January 18.

* Vehicles coming from Mangaluru and Ambalpady should take National Highway 66-Karavali Junction-Bannanje Road to enter the city.

*Vehicles moving from Udupi to Mangaluru and Kundapur should use Bannanje-Karavali Junction Road.

*Vehicles coming from Karkala to Udupi should drop passengers in Manipal.

*Buses from Karkala are banned from entering Udupi City.

*Vehicles from Malpe, Santhekatte, Brahmavar and Kundapur may take National Highway 66-Karavali Junction-Bannanje Road to enter Udupi City and Serivice Bus-stands.

*Buses moving from Mangaluru to Mumbai should use Balaipade – Ambalpadi – Karavali Junction.

*Vehicles have been prohibited in Swagatha Gopura, Kinnimulki, Govinda Kalyana Mantapa, Jodukatte, Lions Circle, Daina Junction, Mithra Junction, Ideal Junction, Court Road, Thenkupete Road, K M Marg, Hanuman Circle, Sanskrith College Junction, Kanakadas Road, Badagupet Road, Chittaranjan Circle, Mithra Hospital Road, LVT Thenkupet Temple Road, Harishchandra Road to Vidyodaya School, Kalsanka to Rajangana Parking area, Katte Acharya to Car street.

*Parking arrangement for people attending the Paryaya festival have been made at the Board High School ground, MGM College Ground, PPC College grounds, Christian High School grounds, Christian PU College grounds, St Cecily School grounds, Vivekananda School grounds, UBMC Higher primary School grounds, Government Composite High school grounds Ajjarkad, J T S School grounds, North School grounds, Beedinagudde grounds, Royal Garden grounds, Adi Udupi higher primary School grounds, Volakadu School grounds and Anantheshwara English medium School ground.

*Parking of Vehicles at Woodland Hotel and behind the Pejawar Math is also banned from January 6 to January 31.
