Udupi: 1,302 MW Solar Plant to be set up in State

Udupi: Solar plants with a capacity of 1,302 MW will come up in the State under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Utthan Mahaabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme.

Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), Hubballi Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) and Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) have already received approval from the Central Government for the implementation of solar plants on a specified scale. There is no allocation to Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) and Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company (GESCOM).

BESCOM has been appointed as the nodal agency for the implementation of the project within the limits of HESCOM and CESC on the lines of Renewable Energy Services Institute (RESO) within the limits of CREDAL and BESCOM.
