Udupi: MLA Raghupathi Bhat said that the 18th National Youth Athletic Championship – 2023, jointly organised by the Athletics Federation of India, Karnataka Athletic Association and Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association, will be held from March 10 to 12 at the District Stadium in Ajjarkadu.
Addressing a press conference in Udupi, he said that the games will be held in 40 categories and a total of 1200 athletes from 28 States and 8 Union Territories will participate. There will be 125 sports officers, 25 technical officers and 100 volunteers, he said.
“The selection of the Indian team for the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championships to be held in Uzbekistan from April 25 will also be held on the same occasion,” he said.
