Udupi: 70-year-old man trapped inside apartment rescued

Udupi: A 70-year-old man named Mohammed B. S., who was trapped in a room on the fourth floor of a private apartment at Hemmadi in Kundapur Taluk, was rescued by the Kundapur Fire Brigade on Sunday March 19.

Mohammed B. S., a 70-year-old man, was trapped in a room on the fourth floor of the apartment as the key of the room door was locked from outside. Based on the information, a team of Kundapur Fire Brigade rushed to the spot. Fire brigade personnel Asif Ali, who placed the ladder from the top of the water vehicle under the leadership of In-Charge Fire Station ofzficer K. T. Gowda, went through the ladder to the balcony of the room on the 4th floor and removed the lock and rescued the elderly through a successful operation.

In-charge Fire Station Officer K. T. Gowda, Chief Fire Man Ravindra S. Devadiga, Driver Mustafa, Firemen Asif Ali, Abhishek Dhang, Samirullah and Muguta Khan were involved in the operation.
