Udupi: A bike rider died in a road accident after being hit by an autorickshaw. The accident took place in Kaup Taluk’s Bantakal.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Baidashree Fancy Store owner Shankar Kotian from Bantakal. An autorickshaw coming from Shankarapura hit the bike. Shankar was riding it toward a petrol bunk. He was thrown off of his bike and onto the road. Shankar was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Manipal by locals. He later passed away from severe head injuries.
A case has been registered with the Shirva Police Station in this regard.
