Udupi: Two persons were killed in a tragic accident between a tanker and a scooter of Mulki Bridge on the afternoon of Tuesday March 7.
The deceased have been identified as Akbar Pasha (61) and Khatijabi (46), both residents of Kolikalu Gudde in Theerthahalli. It is learnt that the couple was on their way to the Passport Office in Mangaluru to get their passports done for themselves. The incident took place on the Bappanadu – Mulki Bridge on NH – 66 when the Activa vehicle skidded off the road.
In an unfortunate incident, the couple from Theerthahalli died on the spot after a tanker coming from the same route ran over them.
