Udupi: Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association in association with Udupi Gandhi Hospital and Udupi Patrika Bhavan Samiti has organised the Foundation Day celebrations of the Association on Wednesday April 12 at 10.30 am at Udupi Pathrakarthara Bhavan.
Addressing a press conference in District Association President Rajesh Shetty Alevoor said that veteran writer Vaidehi will inaugurate the programme. Arif Padubidri, Founder Treasurer of the Association and Chief Reporter of Mangaluru Vijaya Karnataka, will speak on the occasion.
Former Presidents of the Association N. Gururaj, Dinesh Kini Alevoor, Kiran Manjanabailu, Gokuldas Pai, Jayakar Suvarna and Ganesh Prasad Pandelu will be felicitated on the occasion. The Association’s Facebook page will be unveiled, he said.
Association President Rajesh Shetty Alevoor will preside over the function. Silver Jubilee Committee Convener Muhammed Shareef, Indian Federation of Working Journalists National Committee Member Arun Kumar Shirur, Karnataka Working Journalists Association State Committee Member Kiran Manjanabailu, and Patrika Bhavan Committee Convenor Ajith Aradi will be present.
