Udupi: In an incident fire brigade rescued a young man who was unable to climb up after going down into a well to clean it. The incident took place at Bandimath area in the city.
Pawan Pujari (32) was stuck in a well belonging to Gopanath Puranik near Bandimath. The information reached the fire brigade that he had gone down to clean the well and was unable to come up, and the fire brigade rushed to the spot and saved his life by lifting him up from the well.
Fire Station Officer BM Sanjeev, staff members Hariprasad Shettigar, Jayamulya, Nithyananda Basavaraj, Bhimappa participated in the operation.
