Udupi: Former MLA AG Kodgi passes away

Udupi: Politician from Kundapur in the District Amasebail Gopalakrishna (93) Kodgi died on Monday June 13 at a hospital in Manipal.

He was ailing from Dengue and undergoing treatment at the KMC Hospital in Manipal for last one week.

Kodgi was Former MLA from Byndoor Assembly Constituency when in Congress. He joined the BJ and lost election when contesting against Pratapchandra Shetty.

In his days in BJP, he was undertaking works to strengthen party and retired in 2013m

He is survived by his wife, five sons and a daughter. The last rites will be performed on Tuesday June 13 on his daughter’s arrival from US.
