Udupi: 18 people arrested and Cash Rs 1.72 lakh seized in raid at card gambling in Kodavur. The police raided a card gambling near Malpe.
The arrested have been identified as Nagesh, Rajesh, Madhusudhan, Satish Kunder, Radhakrishna Nair, Shankar Kotian, Sangaiah, Shankarappa Revanna Byadagi, Basavaraj Basappa Hooded, Mohammed Haneef, Zakriya, Santosh Shetty, Yashwanth Mogaveera, Rajesh Safaliga, Bhaskar, Hanumantha, Jagannath and Siraj.
A sum of Rs 1,72,080 was recovered from the accused. Cash, 18 mobile phones and six two-wheelers were seized. A case has been registered at Malpe police station in this regard.
