Udupi: Udupi has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past couple of days, resulting in flooding of low-lying areas across the city, sources says water has entered the premises of Garodi temple of the Brahmin community in Moodanidambur, affecting the regular worship activities in the temple.
Many houses in the foothills of the Mathadabettu, Bailakere, and Gundibail areas have also been flooded severely, causing disruption to daily life of the residents nearby. According to the experts there is a possibility of continued rainfall for the next couple of days in and across the district, taking this into consideration the district administration has taken all the necessary measures ensuring the safety and security of the people,
