Udupi: In a tragic incident, a bus owner was killed after being hit by a car on National Highway 66 in Kaup of the District on night of Tuesday December 27.
The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Kumar Indra (60), owner of Kaup Mahavir bus and a Jain Basadi house. He was the owner of the Mahavir bus for the last 3 to 4 decades and is survived by his mother, wife, son and daughter.
Around 7.00 pm on Tuesday, he was standing on the roadside to return home from Kaup Petrol Pump. The accident occurred when the car, which was on its way to Mangaluru from Udupi, collided head-on with a car in NH 66.
