Udupi: Minister visits erosion-affected areas in Muloor-Thottam

Udupi: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje visited the sea erosion-affected areas of Muloor – Thottam on Monday July 11.

The Minister criticised the officials and contractors during the inspection for the construction delays and their failure to stop sea erosion.

Speaking to mediapersons she said that the State and Central governments will work together to make a plan to install a permanent barrier to stop sea erosion.

Udupi District Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao M., Assistant Commissioner Raju, Kapu Tahsildar Srinivasamurthy Kulkarni, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Shiva Prakash, and Municipal Chief Executive Venkatesh Navada among others were present.
