Udupi: A new floating bridge has been installed to attract tourists at Malpe Beach in the District.
It can be recalled that the bridge was dismantled in May, a few days after the inauguration, owing to security reasons.
According to sources, new safety features have been added to the 150-feet-long floating bridge. The floating bridge was built for Rs. 80 lakh by three entrepreneurs.
A team of experts from Kerala will be visiting to check the bridge and provide a stability report before the bridge is opened to the public.
According to the sources, the District Administration has enhanced security measures at beach facilities to protect visitors from dangerous conditions.
