Udupi: The District Administration has issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC in the areas around all pre-university colleges, polytechnics, and degree colleges till February 23 as a precautionary measure.
The order will be in effect from 6.00 am on February 16 to 6.00 pm on February 23.
The order comes after Superintendent of Police N. Vishnuvardhan asked Deputy Commissioner M. Kurma Rao to maintain peace and order in the district as colleges reopen on Wednesday.
