Udupi: Two seriously injured in series of accidents in Uppur

Udupi: In a tragic incident, a lorry driver was seriously injured when another lorry coming from behind rammed into a lorry on National Highway 66 at Uppur in Brahmavar Taluk. It is learnt that the biker who skid and fell was seriously injured.

The injured lorry driver has been identified as Mahesh Gowda, a native of Kadagal in Kumta, while the biker has been identified as Harish.

The lorry, which went to avoid the biker who had fallen on the road, was hit by a lorry coming from behind and then hit a roadside roadside pole. As a result, the front of the lorry was completely damaged. The biker and the lorry driver who sustained injuries in the accident have been admitted to a hospital.

The accident resulted in a traffic jam on the National Highway in Uppur for more than half an hour.
