Udupi: People of coastal district welcomed monsoon with Kesaru Gadhe game palyed in slushy water. The first Kesaru gaddhe Ata’ of this season was organized at Kodavoor in the name of ‘Kesarudu eru birseru’
The technical advancement and machinery are taking man away from nature. The new generations are lazy and hygienic. They are happy away from mud and slushy water.
The fun in the slush field games attracts all without age bar. People of Kodavoor, Malpe enjoyed the variety of games and took part enthusiastically.
The day began with offering prayer and poured milk (Ksheeradhare) on the field for better yeild. Many local leaders participated in the function.
Various games like Kesaru Gadde Ota(Slush field Race), Sack Race, bullakcart raice, Hagga Jaggata (Tug of war), frog jump, slushy swimming and many other games were held.
Kids, youth even senior citizens were participated and Prizes were also given to the winning teams.
